Vegan Bloggers Unite: Vida Vegan Con

By Zoe Eisenberg

What do I love more than staying home on a Friday, reading about Tantra and getting all hopped up about the  banana “ice-cream” I can magically make with my juicer?! (Yes, I know, I am such a nerd…) Getting all hopped with a group of like-minded people in a cool destination location. Enter Vida Vegan Con, a conference uniting vegan bloggers from across the globe, located in Portland. Held on August 26 at Portland State University, this is the first of what will hopefully be an annual happening, housing vegan masterminds, workshops, panels, speakers and of course, tons of vegan eats. When I mentioned recently that I write a blog about sex and veganism, an acquaintance scoffed, what is there some rule in the vegan code of conduct that you must keep a blog. Well, no, but it’s true that there is an ever growing community of vegan bloggers, and how cool for them to be in one place at one time?! Sponsors include Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss, VegNews, Earth Balance and more.

Unfortunately (tears) registration is sold out! While I am devastated I can’t go (I couldn’t get to Portland then even if it wasn’t sold out) it’s great so many people jumped on this opportunity. You can, however, email VidaVeganConference [AT] to be placed on the waiting list.

Follow the event on twitter @VidaVeganCon, check out the agenda, or read (and weep) about the overall awesomeness of this event on their website. I am already planning for next year!
