Wildflower at Fashion’s Night Out @ Henri Bendel’s

I am super excited for fall, and my update on Wildflower, New York’s first plant based Pop Up restaurant. We were featured in this month’s VegNews Magazine! Check out our mention on page 23 of the their Food issue–I could not be more excited!

Also, Wildflower has been invited to bring a scaled down version of my menu to the Hester Street Fair as it takes over Henri Bendel’s for Fashion’s Night Out this Thursday, September 8. I am making international street food inspired treats like the classic Creole Haitian “fish fry” with pickles,  “Tempeh Tuna,” St Louis BBQ Po’ Boy wraps and more.

Stay tuned for more Wildflower news, including a Gilt City deal that will let you bring the Wildflower experience home!

On a personal note, I started iEG because everything I do revolves around my experience with veganism–and I do a lot of stuff. However, I always say that there are 3 things that I am good at. Cooking, acting and… well I’ll save the third for another time (devilish smile). I have been acting for about six years ; I picked it up after hanging out with a bunch of actors and poets who used to come to my café back in Seattle. One of my mentors once told me “the right role finds you at the right time,” and that is exactly how this new Off Broadway Play simply called “Box” found me . Next week, I return to one of my passions: to the stage telling stories I connect with. September 15, Midtown Theater at 8pm , is the opening night of Box–the tale of 4 Haitian men who escape from Haiti circa 1988 on a shipping container full of coffee for a chance at a better life in America. I would really love to see you out for this one. More info and tix here: www.boxtheplay.com
