Meatless Monday: Smoothies!

No better time to own a blender than during the warmth of spring. I am just seeing the first fresh strawberries of the season. Now combine those with bananas, blueberries and having “no time” to stop. No problem. Here are three easy strawberry smoothies you can try on your way out the door this week.

Strawberry Banana Breeze
1 Cup almond milk
1 Cup fresh strawberries
1 Banana (frozen)
1 Teaspoon lime juice

Step one: Combine in a blender and blend.

Strawberry Super-Blueberry Smoothie
1 1/2 Cup soy milk
1 Cup strawberries
1 Cup blueberries
1 Tablespoon agave
1 Teaspoon vanilla

Step one: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend.

Strawberry Orangesicle

1 Cup orange juice
1 Cup fresh strawberries
1 Scoop vanilla “icecream”
1 Tablespoon lemon juice

Step one: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend.

Hint: you can swap out fruits if you happen to hate strawberries.
