In honor of the one-year anniversary of her “Let’s Move” campaign, Michelle Obama is teaming up with Partnership for a Healthier America to make a rap album. Sadly, the first lady does not actually rap on the “Songs for a Healthier America” album. She does, however, have a major speaking role in a new song titled “Everybody,” featuring Jordin Sparks, Doug E. Fresh, Dr. Oz and the Hip Hop Doc.
Other artists featured on the record are: Matisyahu, Travis Barker, Artie Green, Ashanti and Monifah, just to name a few. Some songs off the album are titled: “U R What You Eat,” “Hip Hop F.E.E.T.”, and iEG’s personal favorite, “Veggie Luv.”Along with the album, music videos will be released and distributed to New York City schools before being circulated more widely.
Now’s that she’s a hip hop mogul, hopefully Mrs. O’s next project will be making an arm workout video. (Seriously though, the sales from that video could easily take care of the national debt…I’m just saying.)
Although the album has yet to be released, once it is, you can bet we’ll have it on our Spotify account! Stay tuned, and get moving!
