Foodie Tuesday: A Foodie’s Farewell

This may be the hardest “Foodie Tuesday” I’ve had to write because it’s my last. I’ve enjoyed my  time as a part of the iEG team immensely, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to write this column over the past year. I’ve decided to take my dazzling wit and winning charm (aka mindless ramblings and sarcasm) and start my own vegan food blog, Rude Rabbit Food. I’ll be cross posting to iEG twice a month because, well, I could never really leave leave.

I think Barbra Streisand can explain what I’m trying to say better than this feeble attempt.

Before I go, I’d like to reflect on my time here with some of my favorite Foodie Tuesdays. Hold on tight, y’all, because we’re going way back…

Give Me Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Oreos Or Give Me Death

The title pretty much says it all. Btw, I did finally try the cookie dough Oreos, and they were…AWESOME.

Kitchen Sharing 101– The turkey’s still in my freezer, and the omni’s still in my life. Compromises can be a good thing. Who knew?

Vegan Jello Shots?!– Making these and watching multiple episodes of Laguna Beach was the best way to spend my 21st birthday. (Hey, it was a Monday and I celebrated the prior weekend.)

Childhood Foods Revisited and Veganized

The recipes in this article, especially the vegan tuna helper, are some of the best food I have ever made. They’re definitely meals I’m going to make for my kids someday in the far far far far far future.

Life Hacks for the New Vegan– I loved interviewing a bunch of awesome vegan bloggers and chefs to create a go-to guide for veggie newbies.

Boston Vegetarian Food Festival– A day of free food and fun? What’s not to love? I can’t wait to go to this year’s festival and eat EVERYTHING… again.

We Go Together Like…– Pesto-bruschetta, guacamole hummus, and cookies and cream peanut butter, need I say more?

 “Sushi making” is definitely under the “Special Skills” part of my resume, right between “leading effective dictatorships” and “functioning properly in a state of delusion.”

My Top 4 Vegan Mistakes– We all need to laugh at ourselves now and again, I just have more opportunities to do so than most people.
